Terms of Service

Plain-language terms for using an educational health-information service.

Last updated: August 7, 2026Version 1.0

1. Acceptance of these terms

By using MyDeficiencies you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service. MyDeficiencies accounts are for adults; a parent or legal guardian may use the service to research information relevant to a dependent.

2. What MyDeficiencies is

MyDeficiencies is an educational health-information platform. You enter medication and supplement names, and we generate an educational report describing nutrient relationships, body-system considerations, and supporting research reported in the scientific literature. The purpose is to help you have a better-informed conversation with a qualified healthcare professional.

3. Not medical advice

  • MyDeficiencies does not provide medical advice.
  • It does not diagnose any condition, including nutrient deficiency.
  • It does not prescribe or provide treatment.
  • It is not a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional who knows your history.
  • It is not an emergency service. If you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number or go to the nearest emergency department.

4. Medication decisions

Do not change medication based on this site

You should not start, stop, reduce, increase, substitute, delay, or otherwise change any medication solely because of information from MyDeficiencies. Discuss medication decisions with an appropriate licensed healthcare professional, such as your prescriber or pharmacist.

The same applies to supplements: interactions with medications are real, and adding a supplement is a decision to make with a professional who knows your full situation.

5. Evidence limitations

  • Scientific evidence evolves, and our knowledge base is updated over time.
  • Reported associations vary in strength, from well-established to preliminary; strength is indicated where we can.
  • The absence of a finding does not establish that no relationship or interaction exists.
  • A report reflects the knowledge base as of the date it was generated; a later report for the same inputs may differ.
  • Findings are general and educational; whether one matters for you depends on factors such as dose, duration, diet, health history, laboratory results, and your other medications.

6. Your inputs

You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter. Reports are only as relevant as the inputs behind them. Please enter only information you are comfortable submitting, and do not enter another person's identifying details.

7. Accounts

You are responsible for keeping access to your email and account secure and for activity under your account. We may restrict or suspend an account for suspected fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms, and we maintain an internal audit record when we do. You may request account deletion at any time; see the retention section of the Privacy Policy for how that works and what we must retain.

8. Purchases and access

  • Early Access Full Report: $14.99, a one-time purchase that unlocks the complete version of the specific report you purchased.
  • Access to a purchased report is tied to your account. After purchase you confirm your email and sign in, and the report is linked to you so you can return to it.
  • Prices are shown in U.S. dollars before checkout. Applicable taxes are calculated and displayed by our payment processor at checkout.
  • Purchasing does not create a clinical relationship of any kind.

Monthly access is not currently available for purchase. If it is introduced, its terms will be published before it is offered.

9. Billing issues and refunds

If you were charged in error, charged more than once, or a purchased report failed to unlock, contact hello@mydeficiencies.com and we will review it. Where a refund is issued, it is returned through the original payment method by our payment processor, and access granted by the refunded order is withdrawn. This section describes how billing problems are handled; it does not itself create a right to a refund beyond what applicable law provides.

10. Intellectual property

The MyDeficiencies name, logo, website design, written content, report templates, knowledge architecture, evidence-grading methodology, generated report presentation, and software are owned by MyDeficiencies or its licensors and are protected by intellectual property law. Underlying scientific literature belongs to its own authors and publishers; we cite it rather than claim it.

You may use your own report for your personal, non-commercial purposes, including sharing it with your healthcare professional. You may not republish, resell, or redistribute reports or site content commercially without written permission.

11. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • scrape, crawl, or automatically harvest content, medication data, or reports outside of normal browsing;
  • use bots, scripts, or automation to generate reports or submit forms;
  • probe, scan, or test the security of the service, or attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, or rate limits, without our written permission;
  • share, sell, or transfer account credentials, or use another person's account;
  • resell or commercially redistribute reports or their contents;
  • misrepresent MyDeficiencies output as medical advice, diagnosis, or clinical guidance;
  • interfere with the service, other users, or our infrastructure.

Responsible security disclosures are welcome. Please contact us first at hello@mydeficiencies.com.

12. Availability and changes

We may add, change, or discontinue features, and we update the knowledge base as evidence evolves. We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date, and continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

13. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy, Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, and Medical Disclaimer form part of your agreement with us. Nothing in these terms substitutes for the separate consents described in the consumer health data policy.
