State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide you with certain privacy rights. Here is how MyDeficiencies handles them.
Last updated: August 7, 2026Version 1.0
1. Rights we offer to every MyDeficiencies user
Rather than gate basic controls behind residency, we extend the following to all users:
- Access. Confirm whether we process information about you and obtain a copy of it.
- Correction. Correct inaccurate account information. You can edit your display name and email directly in your account.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your reports, health inputs, and account, subject to records we must retain.
- Portability. Receive a copy of the information you provided in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Withdrawal of consent. Stop further processing of health inputs and unsubscribe from any optional email at any time.
2. State-specific rights
A growing number of U.S. states have comprehensive privacy laws, and several have dedicated consumer health data laws. Whether a particular law applies depends on your residency and on whether MyDeficiencies meets that law's thresholds for a covered business. Where a law applies to you and to us, we honour the rights it grants, including any rights beyond the baseline above — for example, opt-out rights relating to targeted advertising, sale, or profiling with legal effects.

3. California
The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, applies to businesses that meet defined revenue, data-volume, or data-sale thresholds. Whether MyDeficiencies meets a CCPA business threshold is a factual question about the business, and it has not currently been established in this product's documentation. We therefore make no claim either way here.
California residents may exercise the baseline rights in section 1 today. If and when the CCPA applies to MyDeficiencies, this section will be expanded to address the Right to Know, Right to Delete, Right to Correct, Right to Opt Out of sale or sharing, the Right to Limit use of sensitive personal information, non-discrimination, authorized agent requests, and the required request methods and metrics.
4. Consumer health data rights
Rights relating to medication inputs, supplement inputs, and derived findings are described in detail in the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy, including consent, withdrawal, deletion, and appeals.
5. How to submit a request
Use the Privacy Request page, or email hello@mydeficiencies.com. Account holders can also request account deletion directly from the account page.
6. Verification
If you are signed in, your session is the verification — we will not ask for extra identity documents. For requests made without an account, we verify by confirming control of the email address associated with the information, and by asking only for details we already hold that are necessary to locate it. We will not ask you for sensitive information, government ID, or health information solely to verify a privacy request unless there is no less intrusive way to do so.
7. Authorized agents
Where applicable law allows, you may use an authorized agent. We may ask the agent for written proof of authorization and may ask you to confirm the request directly.
8. Appeals
If we decline your request, we will explain why. Where applicable law provides an appeal right, reply to our decision or email hello@mydeficiencies.com with the subject line "Privacy Appeal". We will respond in writing with the outcome and, where required, information about contacting your state attorney general.
9. Non-discrimination
We will not deny you service, charge you a different price, or provide a different level of quality because you exercised a privacy right.
